U.S. House Special Elections
I always predict every U.S. House election. On Tuesday, two districts in Florida will vote to elect replacements for individuals who were selected to serve in the Trump Administration. One of those people was quickly withdrawn and the other has been in the news a whole lot this past week, but has not been fired.. at least not yet.
The only Trump appointee to be fired of SignalGate seems to be Elise Stefanik who was all set to leave Congress and go to the United Nations, but that nomination has now been withdrawn, as she will be forced to stay in Congress. The special election there has been canceled. A big reason why is Republican anxiety about one of these races in Florida. Crazy things often happen in special elections, but we will have to see just how crazy the final results get. I will say that I was prepared to call both of these "Safe Republican" not long ago.
Later on, there will be two special elections held in heavily Democrat districts because the incumbents, both of whom were over age 70, have recently passed away. We will get to that when the time comes.
