The Dreaded Hiatus

September 18, 2006
50 days Until Election Day

Hello to the approximately 10 of you ( 8 of which are liberals and/or Democrats) who have checked in to see my thoughts on Santorum vs. Casey. Sorry, but you will just have to hang tight for a bit.

After 50 straight days of posting a Race of the Day, I really have wanted to get to the end without missing a day, but I sota feel like I need a break today. It has been a long and stressful day (nothing to do with politics) and since the Pennsylvania Senate race deserves much attention to do it justice, I don't want to give less than a credible effort. Finding the time to compose these write-ups has started to be sort of difficult over the past week or so, and I feel like my writing style has suffered in the past couple days.

So, I definitely will return to write about Pennsylvania Senate and everything else very soon. Probably not tomorrow though, unless I get some unexpected free time, but hopefully on Wednesday. And then I can get back into the swing of things.

My work situation is going to be pretty hectic basically through the end of the month, so I am going to have to do my best to get these races in and hopefully still have enough days left to do 50 posts where I will predict and classify all 435 House races. I just hope I will not be at the point where I have to do five states a day. I may have to spend a few hours on a weekend though doing several states at once.

On a side note, let me offer my condolences to the fans of the Chicago White Sox, the soon to be former World Series champions. I hope you join us Cubs fans in enjoying a playoff-less off season. And hey, we got Da Bears!

Ok, so since this will be it for the day, feel free to use this as an open thread to discuss whatever.... ah, who am I kidding? Aint nobody reading this!
