NFL Conference Championships

Overall Results: 121-143 (46%)

For football fans in Chicagoland, it just may not get any bigger than this. The Packers and the Bears fighting it out in Soldier Field for the George Halas Trophy and a berth in the Super Bowl.

This is going to be insane. Thankfully, things have been resolved where I do not have to write an angry post about the Fox television network bumping Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks singer Jim Cornelison, and his stirring rendition of the Star Spangled Banner in place of the fledgling reigning American Idol, the Chicago burbs' own Lee DeWyze. That situation has been resolved. Lee and his fans ought to be quite relieved, because if the Bears lost, his career would be over. Plus, his little brother is a Packers fan. Now, we just need Obama to keep quiet and not ruin things for the Bears, the way he has for countless Democrat politicians and the Chicago 2016 Olympic bids. Mr. President, on this Sunday, and on Super Bowl Sunday, please go play golf somewhere.

1. NFC Championship Game..... they have the far better Governor and better business climate, but this is football. One team is good. The other team is evil.

Packers (12-6) at Bears (12-5)

2. AFC Championship Game.... is anybody in Chicago going to remember to watch this? There will be either much depression or much celebratory glee. Anyways, who to root for in this game? I guess it really depends on if the Bears have earned that Super Bowl bid by the time this game starts or not. What I have to go on at the moment is that Ben Roethlisberger has a reputation of being inappropriate with fat chicks and Rex Ryan really likes his wife's feet.

Jets (13-5) at Steelers (13-4)
