62 Days Until Election Day
Week 1
The Race of the Day will be off on this Wednesday, as I will do what I have always done and list the upcoming NFL Schedule. I will plan to do a post on Tuesdays, in which I combine the results from the past week and the games from the upcoming week. That will help me stay on track with getting through all the races. I will still have to somehow find enough days or do very lengthy posts where I run down predictions for all 435 House races.
A quick note here to say that yes, like many others, I was wrong on two special Congressional election picks I made months ago. That is not really good news for Republicans, although artificially heightened expectations in one case and a very weird scenario in the other case played a part.. I will officially notate those "incorrect predictions" when I touch on Alaska and New York later this fall in my official House predictions.
The NFL season starts tomorrow night and as always, the list of teams I have highlighted are not predictions, but simply which team I want to win the games. Whenever applicable, I always pick the best possible result for the Chicago Bears, consistent with them being the best possible playoff seed.
The Bears though and the Playoffs? Probably not this season, but you never know. They went 3-0 in the fairly meaningless pre-season and all the national football pundits seem to think they will be one of the worst teams in the NFL this year. Hopefully, that doubt will motivate the new coaching staff and the players, and it will at least be a hopeful year, as they build toward the future.
Needless to say the results start at 0-0
1. Bills (0-0) at Rams (0-0)
2. Saints (0-0) at Falcons (0-0)
3. Browns (0-0) at Panthers (0-0)
4. 49ers (0-0) at Bears (0-0)
5. Steelers (0-0) at Bengals (0-0)
6. Eagles (0-0) at Lions (0-0)
7. Colts (0-0) at Texans (0-0)
8. Patriots (0-0) at Dolphins (0-0)
9. Ravens (0-0) at Jets (0-0)
10. Jaguars (0-0) at Commanders (0-0)
11. Giants (0-0) at Titans (0-0)
12. Chiefs (0-0) at Cardinals (0-0)
13. Raiders (0-0) at Chargers (0-0)
14. Packers (0-0) at Vikings (0-0)
15. Buccaneers (0-0) at Cowboys (0-0)
16. Broncos (0-0) at Seahawks (0-0)
