High ranking Democrat refuses to criticize Hezbollah
Rep. John Dingell (D-MI), the longest serving member of the U.S. House of Representatives and the person who would chair the powerful House Energy and Commerce Committee under Democrat control said this in regards to Israel and Hezbollah:

So, according to this Democrat elected official, it would not be appropriate for him to take sides against a terrorist organization like Hezbollah.
What do Nancy Pelosi and Howard Dean think of that?
They better hope Mel Gibson does something nutty again today.

This is a pitty post Corey...
ALthough I like what you're saying about a 5 seat pickup for the dems.
This is a pretty well done site, keep up the good work man.
It should be remembered that Dingell's Michigan district includes the country's largest colony of Arab-Americans. So he shouldn't be viewed as speaking for the entire Democratic party on the issue. Many more Democrats have districts with large Jewish populations and don't agree with Dingell.
My state and area, incidentally, contain some of the largest concentrations of both Jews and Muslims. Kosher or halal--it's all here.
The makeup of Dingell’s district should not matter.
He is an American politician who has refused to criticize a terrorist organization which is an enemy of America (let alone Israel.)
The Iraqi Prime Minister represents a constituency that is far more Muslim than Dingell’s Congressional district, and when he refused to speak out against Hezbollah, DNC Chair Howard Dean called him an anti-Semite and said he should not be allowed to address Congress.
Where is Howard Dean, now that an American politician, of his own party, has taken the same tact? Shouldn’t Howard Dean say that Dingell is an anti-Semite who should not be in Congress?
Or was that stuff about al-Maliki just politics?
