Well, as soon as I formally dumped Wesley Clark and made this a list of 9, he saw the writing on the wall, and formally endorsed Hillary.

Anyways, I am moving Biden up a spot to 6, on the heels of some Iowa legislative endorsements and the fact that Al Gore is not losing any weight.

Republicans

For whatever it is worth, Ron Paul easily outdistanced Sam Brownback in a straw poll of attendees at a GOP “Values Debate” or something like that. The event was not attended by any of the top four Republican contenders. So, Paul moves up a spot, in a move that will be sure to have the internet buzzing.

Everything else stays the same for now. Romney has definitely lost a few points in national surveys, which will be way overblown by junkies, but remains in the lead solidly in Iowa and also is in front in New Hampshire, although there might be some reason to believe that Giuliani may be creeping up on my man Mitt there. It will be worth keeping an eye on. The main media attention of these candidates over the past two weeks have been heavily skewed towards Giuliani, Thompson, and McCain, so at this point of the game, Team Romney may be willing to go through a bit of a blip in order to fly under the radar and keep doing the grassroots thing.

Welcome to the race Alan Keyes. It was hardly the same without you. He joins John Cox in holding the unpublished number 11 and number 12 spots. I also have the distinction of being able to claim that I have already voted for both gentleman in previous general elections!
