Super Bowl XXLII Recap
That was one hell of a 4th Quarter!
You have to feel good for the New York Giants and Eli Manning, especially if you happen to be a younger brother.
It feels like yesterday that Eli Manning was considered one of the worst QB's in football, as his team came into Soldier Field a few weeks back. Eli was horrible in the early portions of the game, but came through in the 4th quarter, and he and his team have not really looked back since. If not for that heartbreaking come from behind win by the Giants, they never would have made the playoffs, and the Chicago Bears might have.
1. Giants (13-6) vs. Patriots (18-0)- W
Patriots finish 18-1 and Mercury Morris is the happiest man on Earth
Giants finish 14-6
Super Bowl Results: 1-0 (100%)- how's that for math!
Overall 2007-2008 season (non-prediction) results: 119-148 (45%)
Finally, I want to say that I hope New England fans are not too terribly dissapointed. They have had quite a ride in recent years between the Patriots and the Red Sox, and certainly have a lot to be excited about with the Celtics as well now.
Fans of the Cubs, Bears, and Bulls could certainly use some of that sports mojo that Boston and New York both seem to possess.
