Super Bowl LVI
From Inglewood, California
(the city where the Chicago Bulls won their first title in 1991)
Overall Results: 142-141 (50%)
Los Angeles Rams (15-5) vs. Cincinnati Bengals (13-7)
It took 55 years before a team was able to play in a SuperBowl in their own home stadium. Last year, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were the first to do so, before a somewhat limited crowd, and prevailed.
This year, the Rams are technically the "away" team but are also playing in their home stadium, albeit one they share with another NFL team.
Los Angeles is favored to win the game, but I will be rooting for the Bengals, and I think they may just actually win it. They have certainly felt like a "team of destiny" over their recent playoff wins. While they have to play this game on the Rams' home field, they may very well have at least half of the spectators rooting for them.
