The not so dramatic conclusion to the Race of the Day feature brings us to Wyoming, one of the most staunchest Republican states in the nation.

It was less than six years ago when Republican John Barrasso was appointed, by a Democrat Governor, to the U.S. Senate to fill the vacancy of a recently reelected Republican Senator who passed away. A physician by trade, won a 2008 special election in a landslide and now is running for what would be his first full term in office.

Candidates in Wyoming were nominated in August primaries, and Barrasso got nearly 90 percent of the vote on the GOP side. The victor for the Democrats, with almost 54 percent of the vote was Tim Chesnut, an Albany County Commissioner. The Democrat nominee does not seem to have his own campaign website, indicating, along with the Republican strength of the state, that Chesnut will be quite easy for Barrasso to crack on Election Day.
