Stanley Cup Champions!
Congratulations to the Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks!
As a Windy City sports fan, it’s been way too long (12 years) since the last championship for one of my teams in a major professional sport (though the Blackhawks were indeed off my fan radar for several years.) Back in 1998, Michael Jordan had been spoiling us and we were maybe taking those annual trophies for granted. So, fans here should feel pretty gratified..
I guess this is the happiest thing I have seen since Election Night 2004…. though the ending of the game was so confusing for a bit, that it reminded me of Election Night 2000. The team was celebrating, but I refused to do so until I knew that it was really official and there was nothing Al Gore or the Florida Supreme Court could do about it!
I have now seen every one of the teams I support win a championship, except for one…..
What I wouldn’t give to see that happen one day…

Secretary of State
State Treasurer
State Attorney General
United States Senator (Open), Governor, State Comptroller (Open) go to the GOP.
Corey, it's looking more likely the Lakers are going to repeat as NBA Champions tomorrow night in Game 7.
Boston is FINISHED, and they're getting too old.
